About Cohen Independent Research Group
We are Wall Street's #1 independent research firm. Cohen Independent Research Group (CIRG) distributes and provides Wall Street Research-Analyst Coverage for selected companies with outstanding business models that have no Wall Street Research-Analyst Coverage, or whose coverage is minimal. Individual companies and institutional money managers are our clients. We are the Gold Standard of Small Cap Wall Street Research. More than 20 of the top 100 institutions in the USA are on our client list, as are many public corporations. We are also hired by institutional investors to do special project, fundamental, investigative and accounting research. The quality of our research reports speaks for itself. CIRG distributes research from contracted analysts.
Excellence: Cohen Independent Research is The Gold Standard for Small Cap Wall Street Research
We believe we are the best small cap fundamental research firm in our industry. Very few businesses can make that statement and back it up. We can. We believe that no small cap research firm approaches the Gold Standard of our in depth securities analysis. At the quality level of our work, we do not feel we have any competition in Wall Street. Our initiate coverage reports averaging 67 pages define our industry's standard of research excellence. Cohen Independent Research Group, Inc. is a brain trust. The analyst pool working with us includes: 5 PhDs, 3 with MDs, 2 MDs, 6 CFAs, 2 with MBAs, and 2 with CPAs who work with our firm.

Why is our Performance so Strong?
Our performance record has been strong because we carefully select our client companies. Most have executed on their business plans. Our credibility has helped many of our clients. We have been very selective with out client companies. We can afford to pick and choose. We are not aware of any fundamental Wall Street research firm whose performance equals ours.
D. Paul Cohen was one of the original 12 Dirty Dozen analysts, considered by many to be the top 12 research analysts in the USA. Mr. Cohen was the founder of the West Coast Regional Offices of Bear Stearns and the founder of the West Coast Institutional businesses of CBWL Hayden Stone/American Express (became Shearson Lehman Brothers). Mr. Cohen's corporate partners at CBWL were Sanford I. Weill, Chairman of CitiCorp and Arthur Levitt, past Chairman of the SEC. Mr. Cohen was trained by Sy Lewis and Alan 'Ace' Greenberg, current Chairman of Bear Stearns and Co.
The Need: More Companies are being dropped from Wall Street Research-Analyst Coverage
Statistics indicate that of 8,673 public companies, approximately 4,465 companies have no analyst coverage, 921 companies have one analyst. Therefore, 5,386 companies have zero or only one analyst covering their companies. We believe that only 3,287 public companies have adequate analyst coverage. During the last three years, traditional Wall Street brokerage firms have dropped more than 1,500 companies from Wall Street Research-Analyst Coverage. Some of this coverage has been picked up by independent research firms. The quality of that coverage and distribution, in our view, is pedestrian at best, poor at worst.
Without the incentive for investment banking fees and revenues from trading, we expect Wall Street brokerage firms will not have the incentive to cover small cap stocks as they did in the past. Worse, the majority of small cap companies have been denied access to the capital markets via IPOs and secondaries due to securities regulations. Research coverage has never been more important.
Our Website: Powerful Distribution, Traffic - A One Stop Shopping Center
We believe our website has more content available to the institutional and retail investor than any Wall Street fundamental research firm. The power of our website creates significant traffic for all investors. Our website allowes institutional and retail investors to retrieve stock statistics similar to Yahoo and Reuters. Our site, however, is oriented to analytics that guide an investor to an overall understanding of a given company: trading, pricing, news, market data, analytics, ownership, SEC filings, portfolio management and inverstor tools. We are not aware of another independent research firm whose website is so constructed to attract the traffic we get.

Research Coverage - Is it a worthwhile investment?
Some public companies believe that if they have research coverage, the reports reach the hands of the potential investor. Our experience is that much research is not read, does not reach the individual institutional and retail investor, and becomes a statistic on quantitative databases. Distribution is as important as the report itself. Quality, notoriety, reputation of the firm and distribution are the name of the game. Our quality and performance justify your investment.
Post Enron Has Decimated the Wall Street Analyst Pool
There has never been a greater need for Wall Street Research-Analyst Coverage. The current environment has denied most micro cap and small cap companies responsible research coverage. We, as a third party independent research firm, fill the gap and need for depleted Wall Street Research-Analyst Coverage in today's environment.
Wall Street Research-Analyst Coverage is Invaluable for Your Business
Analyst coverage enables your company's story to be known worldwide, impacts your shareholder base while giving you access to a large market of institutional and million retail investors. Wall Street Research-Analyst Coverage helps to build and finance your business. Our firm also acts as an introducing party, or finder, referring companies to investment banking firms that raise capital for public and private companies. The financing of your company via introduction to investment banking firms is a separate, non-integrated function from our research distribution business.
Our Research Edge: The Cohen Financial and Valuation Model
The Cohen Financial and Valuation Model is our proprietary financial research engine. There is nothing like it Wall Street today. The model has 60 Excel spread sheets, 7 valuation methods, 3 cash flow methods, 300+ charts and graphs grouped into investment conclusions, and a PIPE section. The model creates a company's forecasted master budget at the most detailed and sophisticated levels. Our new PIPE module enables the investor to calculate terms, conditions and construction of a new BS, IS and CF statement post deal. Please review our TLC Vision report on our website to view the graphical output of our model within our research reports.
